Teaching the History of Computing
(Cont.)

In 1989, Professor Tim Bergin of the Computer Science and Information Systems Department at American University started teaching an upper level course CSIS 550, History of Computing.  A search of the existing literature resulted in the selection of The History of Computer Technology, by Michael Williams as the course text. Prospective teachers are encouraged to get a copy of this book (or another "intro" book as referenced in the bibliography section) to assist in learning the history of computing as well as to support efforts at constructing a course.
